I saw two Canada Geese coming in for a landing on the lake when they smashed into each other. No harm done.
They were about 150 feet in distance.
Taken at 600mm.

Cannon 6D - Tamron 150-600mm @ 600mm - 1/1600 sec. - f/16 - ISO @ 1600.

Thank you, ggttc. It was a cloudy day today with rain so I upped the ISO.

Thank you, gtwhogger. I thought geese were more careful with their landings.

One day the Geese are dropping bombs on me and today they are smashing into each other. What will happen next?

Nice shot, and glad to hear they didn't "crash & burn".

Nice capture Regis...

I was thinking about getting the Canon 100-400mm for a long time but when it went from about $1100 to $1600, that changed my mind! I checked the DXo specs and compared both the Canon 100-400mm and the Tamron 150-600mm and they were almost twins when it came to benchmarks with a hair's edge going to the Tamron. So, I think I am going with the Tamron 150-600mm since it is about $500 (!!!!) less then the Canon and also has about a 200mm reach advantage over the Canon! Wish me luck in getting a good copy of the Tamron 150-600mm lens!

Nice capture Regis... br br I was thinking about... (show quote)

Thank you, Bruce. You would think the price of the Canon 100-400 would come down with the competition from the Tamron, especially knowing the Canon is an older type design. The Tamron 150-600mm lens is fantastic for the price.

Nice capture, I've always wondered how when you see so many birds in one place that they don't collide more often....
