This woodpecker looks a lot like a bird we have in abundance around here, with the red head and striations on the wings and under belly they are known as Flickers, Red or Yellow shafted Flickers, they must be related ! Dennis

So glad you enjoyed Bee, while this woodpecker has a red head it is a red bellied woodpecker. The Red Headed has a dark red head that cover the entire head and has a white underbelly and solid black and white back and wings. So glad you enjoyed

Thanks so much for looking and for your kind comment Dennis. This is the red bellied woodpecker, the red shafted flicker has many of the same colorizations, flickers are woodpeckers, so yes they are related. So glad you enjoyed
