I just did that on Friday for my buddy Otis. My heart is with you. Maybe Sammy and Otis be friends where ever they are now.

Sammy looks pretty content and loved in the excellent photo you submitted. You must have loved him a lot and I am sure he loved you back just as much. They truly are family. My condolences to you.
Dennis
Sorry to hear your loss as well and lets hope both Ottis and Sammy meet up and become buddies

I understand and still miss Lizzie after 11 years.
thank you Dennis
animals grab at your heart and if you give back then you have a wonderful relationship. I always said that no matter how bad your day was your animals would always be waiting to greet you. Sammy won't be there to meet me anymore but his memories will live on for ever.

To Camera Dave, Our sincere expression of condolence for your loss....your experience now was my wife and mine exactly four weeks ago to your day of loss....for us, it was our little Boston Terrior....a friend of ours shared these words on a sympathy card to us ---- "Dogs just know when they are loved....even at the end, when their pain becomes too much to bear and we help them to find rest."....someone once said, "All die twice no matter who but if one is forgotten, the second time is forever"....we'll never forget our Boston as I'm sure you never forget either your best friend, all best to you.

Very sorry for your loss. We have a veterinary clinic, and I don't know how my wife is able to deal with it. She is sadden by every passing she has to deal with. We both send our best and know she will be missed.

Dave, I am so sorry for your loss and know exactly how you are feeling. They come into our lives, capture our hearts and all too soon they leave. But they leave behind a gift, a gift of knowing what unconditional love and loyalty truly means. They are the ones that teach us and hopefully we learn that lesson.
We lost one of our shelties last month, like Sammy she was 13. She will always be in our hearts as Sammy will be in yours. Losing a member of the family is never easy but know that there are many of us here on this site that are thinking about you and Sammy. Take care my friend. Mark
Nanaval and vicksart I thank you for your wishes
Bozsik I like you don't know how vets do it. My vet was in tears when she had to put him to rest. My clinic knew Sammy very well as he had 2 knee replacements, operation for bladder stones and many other aliments. He was a puppy right to the end which caused the knees to go as he would never slow down as he aged. It is also because of the way Sammy was. He took your heart. We will miss him but the memories and photos will live on forever.
thanks for your kind words
Dave
Creso I am sorry to hear you went trough what we are experiencing. You are correct in saying pets teach us many valuable lessens in life. Thanks for your kind words
I am so sorry for the loss of your friend. Saying goodbye to such a loyal and devoted friend is the hardest thing to do. You are in my thoughts.
