Homer we take in a puppy with its eyes saying pick me up and we forget that at the end of the road we will have the pain of letting go.

This breaks my heart. I know what you are going through. I had to do that about 20 years ago and her ashes are on my mantel over the fireplace where she used to lay in the winter. I have never been able to get over her. I now have two more dogs but I will never forget her....Rich

Cam2000,twiga,bigwolf,likes beach,amyinsparta,wonky, mtn man, dick and antie and anyone else I have missed I am over whelmed by the response regarding Sammy. Your words mean a lot to me as I struggle today. Went for a walk and talked with him with tears in my eyes. I thank everyone from the bottom of heart.
