That's It! :hunf:
Easy there Pic, speak for yourself, I like Annie. Annie has promised to marry me as soon as her husband leaves her! So I can see why you are so jealous. She's gonna show me how to use my camera, so my pics won't be so crappy!!

Well over 40, also 60, no facial hair & like photography. Actually, I tried to grow facial hair & it was so spotty, gave up. Now I shave every other day, go roaming with my camera.

I see the members photos when posting. In general, the seem predominantly male, 40 ish or older and support facial hair. Also seems to be accompanied with either a quizzical look or a big grin. Just saying ! is this a true reflection of the enthusiast photographer population at large?
No agenda on this - just curious.

I'm female. There is a large number of males on this forum. There are a few forums that are geared toward female photographers that are hugely popular and very well received. I belong to two, I find them to both be more encouraging and more geared toward growth than ones that have a high population of males, maybe due to the male egos involved.
Yet another male-slamming post Annie?
Sheesh!
If you have pm'd me and are female, I have sent you the information on the two forums that I highly recommend.
There is also a third forum but they limited their membership to female professional photographers and you have to submit your website and portfolio to them for approval.
Sorry I will not engage childish behavior that is displayed on this thread, no need they are proving what fools they are without prompting from
Females beat we males by a long shot for ego: they uniformly think they are better(at everything). There are more men involved in photography than women because a man started it. The original cameras were heavy and bulky so women didn't get involved until they became lighter and smaller. Show me evidence to the contrary.

Since when is this a debate? Specifically, what was said by whom, that you are challenging?

I was 91 in "dog years", female, and definitely had a lot of facial hair. As well as everywhere else on my body.

Good for you. There needs to be place where women can go without us knuckle draggers tagging along. We'll be right here, thumping our chests until you get back.

Should I tuck my tail and go hide? I guess I am in the dog house again. No big deal, my wife use to put me there all the time.

I see a certain amount of "ego" in various posts but am not convinced that "ego" is a largely male trait.

Have you ever heard of two women involved in a road-rage case...
Yes, but I wouldn't call them ladies.
