What a pointless waste of time this is. With 44,996 members in uhh and less than 300 respondents up to now, the posted information is totally useless. So 100 post process to 1 who doesn't and 90 of 100 use an Adobe program with which to process. Surprise, surprise! That 300 is an accumulation of more or less a small portion of 44,996 somewhat interested and rabid enthusiasts while 90% of the general public who own a camera will never see this or post process an image.

Yes, I do a great amount of post processing on many of my images.

I primarily use CS6, and Nik software, combined with extensive use of a digital tablet

A 7 page (and counting) "debate" about the merits of "getting it right in the camera" versus post-processing to achieve the desired image has been accumulating at http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-193013-1.html. Here are two very simple questions. Please answer yes or no plus the name of the software you prefer without commentary.
1) Do you perform any post-camera processing of your digital photos: yes or no?
2) If you answered yes, what is the name of your preferred primary post-processing software?

I'll total the answers up tomorrow.

Sorry, but the question is ill-posed. It is of the nature, "Have you stopped beating your wife yet?" You can't take one part of the process and separate it from the rest. It would be like asking, "Which is more important, your heart or your lungs?"

This is not an either-or. Creating a photograph is a complete process from idea through presentation to a viewer. It is equally important to compose and take the image in the camera, including setting up the camera and auxiliary equipment, as it is to process it effectively to produce an image.

Asking the question suggests that the asker does not understand the photographic process.
