Hey guys,
I'm delighted to see that this thread has not become a pissing contest.
I'm an old combat soldier, a liberal democrat and the owner of many guns.
We who have carried automatic weapons tape two magazines together, for a fast change.
The ten shot limit is silly. I can drop the empty and replace it in a fraction of a second.
Criminals and nut jobs will still commit their horrors and responsible gun folks will act responsibly.

Me too, just takes a little practice, my 1911 carries 7 in the magazine, I have two extras with me at all times, so have 21, twice the 10 shot limit.

Why incite a riot over an article written in a one sided publication such as this is. Any truths in the article are going to be twisted to fit the Tea party Agenda.
I beg your pardon. What are you talking about.
T party ?
I am the antithesis of a right-winger.
I'm a kind person, an animal lover. I voted for my President twice.
Guns are a hobby. I reload all of my ammo...that's green, isn't it ?
You are, most likely, a decent person and a liberal.
If I have offended you, please accept my sincere apology.
Nooooo problem. If you love cats then I love you.
I was talking to Jesus, the other day. He told me how to destroy an enemy.
"Al", the good shepherd said to me, as he put his arm around my shoulder; "make him a friend and love him as you love me".
Be well, my friend.

Has anyone looked at Mexico where guns are illegal. Guess who has the guns..... The bad guys. Just look at the murder rate!
How about Sweden, I understand guns are handed out by the government, any stats from there?
Historically any Government that wants to take control of its citizens, FIRST must gather up all the guns from the population. (Germany)
Just my thoughts......

I don't think this is as bad as it seems. If the law requires registration of certain types of guns, then having a gun that's unregistered is against the law. I'm sure the NRA is in favor of gun owners obeying local laws.
Many cities have amnesty days when people can turn in illegal firearms, no questions asked. No one who owns a gun legally is being penalized. If a mother knows that her teenage son keeps a gun in his room, maybe she can turn it in.
Guns aren't a part of my life one way or the other, so this is just an academic discussion for me.

I guess the gun owners in Connecticut would differ, particularly if ownership pre-dated the enacted laws. Problem is that most gun laws benefit the criminals more than responsible citizens.

Nobody is inciting a riot but all your liberal rags aren't commenting about it so kudos to the Tea Party for bringing it to light. I don't see where they are twisting anything just stating facts. If you have any hard evidence to refute them let us see it.
See..you scumbag...this had been a civil dialog.
Calling those who disagree with you ..whatever is attacking the person, not the issue...
So go masturbate or whatever entertains you.
I'm outa here.....
Goodbye mother fucker.
