Muslims believe that their holy book be treated with greater respect than other books and not put on a bookshelf with other books. British libraries have responded to this request by placing ALL holy books on a top shelf. Librarians oppose this because the idea of public libraries is NOT to put books in any way out of reach of anyone. The Muslim hierarchy, in my opinion, is kind of like the old Catholic hierarchy which did everything in Latin - the average person is not allowed to interpret the sacred writings, only to believe anything they are told.

I think that BU has two solutions, 1. Remove the Koran from the library, or 2. Tell the Muslim students that aren't happy with it's placement to go to school somewhere else!!!

Same thing is happening here in Canada and it has to stop before it is too late.
