I believe you captured the elusive but numerous "Yankee Snowbird" :evil: :evil: :roll: :shock: seen in south florida from October thru march. they are kind of a pest, their call sounds like "but up north we do it this way" Unfortunately they are a protected specis

This is a shot of a female anhinga with wings spread, drying and adjusting temperature. They are present in Florida year round, always around water because they feed on fish. Perched birds give mechanical croaks and nasal grunts. Male would have black neck. In my opinion they are beautiful, unusual birds. I am not sure why sinatraman considers them a pest, maybe he can explain.
