Looks good.. The edit is well worth the effort..

And, the rule of thirds is firmly in place in this photo..

The birds eye, the focal point in bird imagery, is precisely at one of the rule-of-thirds "power points"..

Not to mention that a diagonal, in this case the branch, is a concept of intersecting two power points so in this image the compliance to the rule of thirds is very evident in that three of the four power points is represented.

Captured this Tufted Titmouse image while visiting Fort Clinch State Park, near Fernandina Beach, Florida, USA. I could never capture an image when it was completely in the clear, so I thought I would edit it and see what public opinion would be on the options.

Nikon D300, Nikkor 300 MM f/2.8 with a Nikon TC-14E II Teleconverter , 1/250 Sec at f/4.0, ISO 400, Spot Metering, No flash.

Which do you like the best and/or should I have edited it more?

Another bit of good info from Bob...Thanks...I like the edited version best as well...It does seem that the 2nd is lighter than the first, esp on the bird and to me...shows his true colors better than the first...but the different areas of the country we are seeing this bird could be the difference...I am in Texas and this was Fla. I love to watch these little bitty birds in my redbud tree enjoying the feeders...! Your photo is very good...Linda

Nice bit of editing there. I might also like to comment on your composition. This is one of those cases where the rule of thirds doesn't apply. It doesn't apply because of the strong diagonal presence of the branch. To move the bird anywhere else in that frame would detract from an already excellent composition. Well done.

Thank you for the feedback, I am still learning about composition and all input is welcome.

You're doing a great job, and the important thing to remember is that Photography is subjective like any other art form. Aske 10 people and you'll often get 10 different responses. I like both ... Keep shooting and sharing, you do good work.

Both of them are excellent, but I do prefer the second one a bid more.
