Great shot - especially under those conditions. Really illustrates how birds (and other critters) know how to puff up and trap the warmth

Very nice! He sure looks cold. Love the detail.

I tried to shoot a tiny kinglet trying to get warm yesterday. unfortunately, could not figure out how to do it...the screens on the windows were the problem. How do you get around that?

I can only guess...if it isn't iced over, then it is usually above 32 degrees and that is normally warmer than the air temperature in winter. The doves, in particular, wade often in the heated bird bath.
