Nikon 7100 with the 18-200mm

No doubts, D7100 if money is not a problem. It is well worth the difference but I don't sell the D5200 short either.

I would probably go with the 18 - 105 lens though. The 18 - 200 is a nice lens but larger.

Buy a reconditioned D7100, and you will save a bit.

I have never been a fan of reconditioned anything. My concern is that collateral damage was fixed and not the root cause. This is so true with electronics.

Also it depends on the condition of the article before reconditioning. Not everything gets replaced. And it depends on the integrity and skill of the repair person/facility.

There is a reason why reconditioned items cost less.

Buy the D7100. Skip the kit lenses and pick and choose your lenses separately.. I have the 7100's forerunner, the D7000 and no regrets.

D7100 Body only. Look at 28-300. Nikon has promotion in place now where lenses are discounted $100-$300 if bought with body. Amount of discount depends on lens

The D7100 most definitely. I love mine. My Nikkor 18-200 zoom is a vest all around lens. I've been using this combo for months.

Oh yeah 7100. Focus motor is the reason. Plus you can get the body and get the lense you want. Consider the 18-300.

I would go D7100 - I think you will get the same images from the D5200, but the D7100 has better build quality, in body focus motor to make more lenses useful, and more external controls. Being able to change shutter, apperture, and ISO without removing your eye from the viewfinder is great. I would also opt out of the kit lenses and get just a refurb body and lens separately, the Sigma 17-50 looks nice but I haven't used it, I went with the Nikon 17-55 f2.8 and it rarely leaves my camera, great lens.

With out a doubt, the D7100 and the 18-200 lens. I have a D2x, D7000 and the 18-105 kit lens and the 18-200. The combination of the D7000 and the 18-200 would be outstanding. I don't think you would regret the upgrade....EVER. Best of luck.

Very decent walk around lens, but, the Sigma 18-250 is about as good and cheaper.

I have the D7100, 18-200, 35, 50, 70-300, SB910 and waiting on a Nikon 105 f2.8. It is a fantastic camera. You will love it.
