No Alyn - I was saying the 2nd upload was from a cell phone. The picture of the shot hang on the wall (which wasn't very good but you get the idea of how it looks on the wall.) But, I have taken some pretty darn good pics with my camera phone when I was in a jam & didn't feel like pulling out the big guy.... ;)

I had been sick for quite some time & my husband would take me out on the weekends so I could get out & enjoy the scenery -maybe even see an Eagle or something that caught my eye to take a picture of.

I had this as my screen saver on my computer at work when my mom popped in & went crazy over this. (I didn't think it was all that but since she seemed to like it & even mentioned about having it on her wall) I decided to do something special for her.

I asked my husband if he would make the frame, I also had it matted. We gave it to her on Christmas. She love it - which I'm glad, since it ended up being quite huge. I think the overall specs on it was 26x30. (I was pretty nervous, as I had never done anything like this before.)

The shot on the wall is just from a cell phone, but it gives you an idea of what it looks like, hanging up.

Would love to hear your thoughts.....

I guess those c-fones are getting better all the time. In any case its a good example of my firm belief: its the photographer that makes the picture--not the camera. But, when a good camera is in the hands of a creative photographer---the magic happens !. Alyn

That is great picture; if that were my photo I'd hang it on my wall too.

Thanks! Can't remember if I mentioned that or not in the thread - I do have this in a smidge smaller print - I was going to hang it at work. The only picture I have is a small 8x10 of the picture that got into the Westfield Insurance Calendar, which I am really excited about. (the frame just isn't fancy BUT it's still cool that they sent it to me).

An image which is appealing must be the ultimate aim in photography. I have many favourites that appeal to me as well as others, but wouldn't find pleasant critique. I admire the critique I do get on here and continue to submit so it is not an issue with me. I have a way to go to be a decent photographer.
The fact that you showed such kindness makes your beautiful picture even more valuable.
Well done.
