I have a sweet 16 coming up in two weeks. the Mother of the birthday girl wants me to combine her daughters picture with her grand ma an grand pa. they are three different pictures and she wants me to make it into one, can it be done in light room if so how? if not then in photo shop but I need to know how. I never worked with photo shop but my wife has. thank you in advance.
Hi nimster: This is a very interesting challenge they have posed you. Your photos of the girl are crisp and clear, while the photos of grandma and grandpa are poor quality at best and appear to be just snap shots. I'm guessing neither of them are around to pose with the girl. My question to you then would be how to incorporate their photos in with hers and still make them seem some what natural. I noticed the mirror in the back ground and thought what if they were in the mirror on either side of her reflection looking out and down at her. By cropping them to a head and shoulders you would eliminate some of the back ground, making it easier to mask that area and layer them into the mirror. Just a thought. I know it didn't apply to your question but I'm pretty sure most of the work can be done in photoshop. I have both LR3 and Ellements 10 and like yourself I still finding out what I can do in each. Good luck.
