I've been quite happy with this pack I bought on Amazon. It holds my Nikon 300mm prime and other lenses quite nicely.

Seeing some of the camera bags packed so neat embarrassed me into organizing mine - AGAIN - LOL.
Funny how it gets messed up so quickly - I'm just not an organized type person.
;-) ;-)

Been looking for a Camera Backpack. Going nuts. Need one to fit not only the DSLR but a Sigma 150-500mm lens. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Probably won't use it more than 1/2 a dozen times in a year.

Thanks

Ed

I like my Lowepro 350AW. Comfortable, with lots of room.

Go to your local camera store to look at the photo backpacks and 'try them on'. A purchase there will help sustain the local business.

Cannon makes a backpack type bag that sells for about $40 on amazon. I have one and it works great - holds my sony a77 that has the battery pack added onto it and 4 various sized lenses.

I did that yesterday. They carry Lowepro only. But it gave me an idea of the sizes etc.

I'm looking for a new camera bag too so this has really helped. I do a lot of backcountry hiking with my gear and tripod. I was looking at the bags at f-stop gear http://fstopgear.com
They are on the expensive side so not sure what my best option is.

The folks on this website are really helpful. Based on a few replies, I am leaning towards the Case Logic SLRC-206. It appears that it should meet my needs and is very afordable.

Another plug for the Think Tank bags...Like them so much that I became an affiliate for them... By shopping through this link, you can get something for free if you spend over $50
