The reason I included them is they are Never still unless they are sleeping.

More still life's for the Challenge. These were taken at our local Arts Center. No Flash, just the lighting provided at the Center.
On the Gourds, there was overhead florescents.

Yay I finally found you lol. Wonderful photos so far. I look forward to seeing the rest.
My still life is a bit different.

p4 You can't imagine how wonderful it is to see you and to see you posting again. Those ants are intricate, but I think the chameleon is my fav - the contrasting colors and textures. The background presents him well.

Have a great trip!

Irene, I use several thing to light the objects. The first thing to remember is that light reflects at the same angle it strikes, so look in your camera for hot spots and move your lights around until they are diminished. You can use flood lights that can be purchased at the hardware store. A piece of white cardboard makes a wonderful reflector. A white sheet when placed in front of the source will defuse the light and cut down on hot spots. Your best bet is to experiment. I am getting ready to leave for California. When I return if you are still interested I will set up some lights and photograph how they can be arranged. This is a great subject. Happy shooting.

There are some talented members. Very nice. Thanks for the wishes. The major reason for going is a funeral, however I will incorporate a day or so of shooting.
