Cat good shot. that is probably the most photographed site in the USA. It is so photographically seductive. No wonder it is your favorite. Good going. Robin

Thank You Robin! it was the trip of a lifetime and the photo is now proudly on my wall :)

I took zillions of bird shots at the feeder. To get a more natural look, I tied a small branch to it and waited. This little guy didn't disappoint.
Everything just "clicked" that day.....
The DOF just happened without me thinking about it. And no post processing except for a bit of a crop.
I hope to have the same luck this Summer.... :D

Pretty!

Here is a shot I took at the Guadalupe National Park at the salt flats a few weeks ago. The lighting was just perfect I had to stop and take a few. It was the last shot I took with my XSI before giving it to my daughter for Christmas.

Thank you very much for the nice comment! It continues to be very foggy here - dreary!

There are so many nice photos here, I hate to even put a simple snapshot on with them, but even though it may not be a quality shot, it's my favorite, made when "Our Jazzy Rendezvous" was 5 minutes old. I've had hundreds of foals born over the years, but none as special as this one. A special filly, born at a special time, under special circumstances. Hubby and I thank you, Treepusher, for this thread, to share one of our precious memories of 2013. Happy 2014, everyone!

Aww, I remember this, remember when it happened. Such a lovely tribute to Mother Nature. It's a magnificent image by a magnificent lady.

Your sunset photo would make a good cover pic for a mytery novel. I also like the rose.

Ok, I'm already over my quota but I'll add another just to perpetuate the thread. This is not my best shot but one of my most pleasing of 2013. In the late 90's, the parks and wildlife here in Colorado turned loose a few breeding pairs of moose. As of this summer there were about 1,600 - 1,700 known to exist so in all the forest land here it is somewhat rare to cross paths with a moose but I did this past summer, a young bull, a cow, and a young one. They seemed to be together so assumptions can be made. This is only the second time I've seen one so it's not an every day deal and I've spent a lot of time in the woods. The cow and baby wouldn't come out so I could get a better shot.

By the way, Happy New Year to everyone! May it be prosperous and most of all, a year full of love.

Thank you so much Erv! Is that what they're called? When I was little my dad called them "ticy-wicks" 'cause he tickled me under my chin with them!

Thank you, gessman. It may not have been my best shot of the year but it certainly was a beautiful time for me.
