I took zillions of bird shots at the feeder. To get a more natural look, I tied a small branch to it and waited. This little guy didn't disappoint.
Everything just "clicked" that day.....
The DOF just happened without me thinking about it. And no post processing except for a bit of a crop.
I hope to have the same luck this Summer.... :D

Too hard to pick just one!!!!! But I took, by far, the most pics of the year when I went on a cruise through the Inside Passage for my 50th birthday so here's one from that collection. It was taken during a fairly infrequently observed bubble net feeding frenzy. There are some neat YouTube videos of it however my camera I had at the time didn't have that capability and was only 10.1 MP. I hope you don't mind the PP I did to it (crop and frame).

How 'bout a thread of what you consider your best shot of the year past?

Doesn't have to be award-winning, doesn't matter if you've already posted it. I'd just like to see what folks here consider their numero unos for 2013. Here's mine.

Happy New Year to everyone, and thanks for the memories of 2013!

Great idea...
My favorite of the year : )

Your sunset photo would make a good cover pic for a mytery novel. I also like the rose.
