Here are three more old barn photos. Let me know what you think of them.
The Gone Side
The Deteriorating Side
Not Safe To Go In
Great shots...love these old barn pictures
Go back and shoot again when the lighting is more dramatic. Early morning or late in the day, the flat light of the day is doing nothing for your images.
Definately a fixer-upper....
WOW, better hurry on the go back though. Not sure it will last to many more storms.
Interesting perspective on the front though. It looks like the door is holding the whole thing up. ;)

Great old dilapidation images, looks like some of them are on their last legs/posts. :D
I've got some of those around here, going to have to make a safari one day, and shoot some.
Jughead,
From looking at the shadows I would concentrate my efforts on the second shot, Deterioating side. Maybe late afternoon hits that side? This would give you a darkening sky thus more drama.
Like any old barn picture, if you go back try #2 in b&w

Amazing potential here, like some have said early or late in the day would be best. Don't know if you get snow, but that would be nice too.
I played with them a bit and you might like them this way too.
Anyway, keep shooting those oldies, they'll be gone soon.

These type of pictures are priceless. Quite often in good weather my wife and I take rides in the country searching out such shots. It is amazing how many barns are slowly dissapearing. My son is in the business of making signs out of old barn siding and has taken a barn ot two down to get the wood. I have taken some before ( taking them down ) pictures of a few.
It is my passion.
Keep clicking Jughead!

ROGER... as you may know or should know, not everyone sees a picture the same. 'Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.' I think that ANY picture of a barn whether it be B&W, late at night or in bright sun light is beautiful. So give the man a break and give him his due. These are good shots. Just saying.

Now thst is what I am talking about Plusten. A great prized shot of an old barn that is on the way out. Not too far down the road these type of barns will be almost impossible to find. Shoot em while you can. Memories are a good thing to have.
