If it suits your taste (if you like to see it on the wall), well then it's certainly "Wall Material"! I say, go for it and enjoy. Nice shots!!

Not sure we are reading the right question. Your responses repeatedly refer to 'liking' what you hear. So it seems you are really asking if you did a good job? Answer: Yes on both. Each has its way of getting your attention right away with a wide spectrum of contrast dominated with a color that pops. As good as they are, for me, they seem a little short of being definite wall mounts. For either question, continue the good work because it's just my opinion.

Robin, the first one, if a bit lighter, could go on my wall in a heartbeat!

I like them both but find the pole in the center of the first photo distracting. Sky in the second photo is powerful however it has a look like over saturated HDR.

I like the openness and spaciousness of the second one. The first one has a really busy foreground and I'd be trying to clean it up all the time.

Both shots are pretty, but I'd vote for the second as my own favorite. It's more dramatic, and catches the eye better.

speters I just wanted the opinions of other people on these. Would I be living in a fools paradise? Cheers, Robin

Charmdragon, Thanks for viewing with an eagle eye and commenting. To me wall material is the dividing line between good and really good. I don't mind constructive criticism, what keeps them off your wall? Believe me no matter what you say/write, I'll keep on shooting. Cheers, Robin

Jedrick, You really have good eyes. It took me about 3 times looking at the pic to find the pole. On the second one a played a bit with the contrast. Thanks for the comments. Cheers, Robin

AzPic, assume, always dangerous to do so, you are still in AZ not surprised that someone living there would appreciate the wide open spaces of #2. Had a person living in Alaska criticize a picture because it had too much snow! a person,s environment does have a bit of an influence in their artistic tastes it seems. Thanks for looking and commenting. Ciao Robin
