The country is changing, whether you like it or not.... [/quote]

I personally couldn't give a damn what 2 consenting adults do in the privacy of their yada, yada, but just because the country is "changing" doesn't mean it is changing for the good.

Now, let me see......who isn't allowing whose views? How easy it is to cast stones and judge others while our own house needs cleaning. There is a god and it is not me....or you!

I think his remarks were his right to make - but it's my right to turn my back on the person who made them. I totally disagree he speaks for anyone other than himself. Now, I'm not sure he should be removed for his belief but he is contracted to make money for media and with a dump in ratings, he is only losing their profits. Out he goes. Won't make a difference to me anyway...being from the south, I see him and his family as a bad representation of my culture anyway and never watch this humiliating show...

Im glad to hear you say that. To me, it sounds like A&E network dosen't belive in the 1st Admendment. They seem to be more of a self-interested, communistic controlling entity who deprives personal beliefs of individuals under their rule.

Im glad they don't run America!!

We will be boycotting the self-righteous A&E channel over here.

I too support Phil's comments. I will be driving through Monroe in the near future and I will shake Phil's hand if he is available. God Bless the Man!

Yeah, but he is a good ol' boy.... and that is a big part of the mystic of the show... My personal opinion although it is very early in this incident is that A&E is way underestimating the notion of "Family Allegiance" and "Southern Pride". I seriously doubt that there were be anymore tapings of "Duck Dynasty" because if the Robertson boys feel that their father has been slapped down by the network they themselves will probably walkout on the program. Just my opinion, and no I am not defending his remarks, just making an observation of the situation, I think that those in Hollywood only understand money and somehow think that they can have that show after censoring Phil, I don't think that they understand that money just might be as important to the Robertsons as their respect for their patriarch.

How come none of the holy rollers here never quote that part of the Bible?

"Holy Rollers". Some of you guys just can't resist can you?

You have just used your First Amendment Rights just as Robertson had done. What was the difference?

The difference is that one statement was made on a public forum and the other was made on a network owned TV show. If they are paying, they should have a say in what he is saying.
Personally, I am sick to death of seeing these bearded cretins on tee shirts and on products galore. I am sure Phill is a nice man and a good Christian, but he is one dim bulb on the Christmas tree and I couldn't care less what he thinks about anything!

--------

Phil's remarks were in a GQ magazine, totally unrelated to the A&E television show. So, why should A&E care what Phil says, unless it's prohibited in his contract with them.

I don't think he cares. he's stated that he came from nothing and he will return if necessary, his allegiance is to God and to use his celebrity to speak the truth.

Untrue.

This simplistic untruth is just regurgitated baloney from the internet.

If you want to make your case against the bible being God's word...fine...but come up with something that actually means something.

And when a Christian explains why you are wrong...then dispense with this lame argument.

That's why we don't quote that part...because the punishments for sins don't have to be the same over the centuries for the sin to be wrong...that's very slopping illogical reasoning.

You might not care what he thinks, but you SHOULD care about his freedom to speak out without censure. Next time it might be you.

I wish I was as "unintelligent" as Phil.

I can't boycott A&E very much, because Duck Dynasty is the only program I watch on their network. I guess any boycott by my family won't affect them very much.

Is he in prison for stating his views? If that were the case, I would be the first to scream about it.
