Interesting. Favorites are probably 12 & 13 though I like several others as well. I'd like to see the originals for them too.
Thanks pkricker for stopping by and your comments. I'm attaching 4 of the photo originals including #12 & #13 since you liked those. I'm also attaching two of the surfer/boogie boarder photos to show you what they started out like before my post production work on them.
Nicely done at Huntington Beach Pier. What software did you use?
Thanks,
Bill

Brent, I like them all for different reasons. I would say after looking at them several times that #6 would have to be a favorite. Only because of the expression on the surfers face. Good job, I to would like to see the originals. Thanks for posting and I will keep an eye out for more to come.
Thanks DEC for your comments......I just posted 4 of the originals as requested by the previous UHH member!

I did the filters in Photoshop CS6 called oil paint and also poster edges, then ran some of the images through SPE (Smart Photo Editor).
Thanks for liking them so much!

Aren't YOU having fun? You've produced another terrific series of your artistic vision. I especially love 11, 12, and 13. Very well done my friend.

Thank you very much hb3. I've been having fun with these and I think it relates to how they turn out. Struggling can sometimes cause ugly results!

All are phenomenal but #1,#7 and#13 stand out to me.
These are great. How did you do these? What software, if any, did you use?
The pier looks like the one in Huntington Beach. I grew up in Huntington Beach and graduated from HBHS in 1962. I remember when Beach Boulevard (Highway 39) was only two lanes and there were alfalfa and lima bean fields.
I lived there until 1973 when I moved to the St. Louis area because my husband came to be on staff at Ralston Purina (Nestle Purina) headquarters.
Would not want to live in California again, even though I have relatives there. It can get cold in the winter and hot in the summer here, but I don't have to deal with all that traffic. We live on 3 wooded acres in a two-story house. Couldn't afford anything like that in California unless we were rich.

I got such a great and positive response from my first thread (Altered Surfing Photos) that I thought I would work on phase 2.
Here are the images. I hope you like them as much as phase 1.
Thanks to everyone for the very positve comments to the first batch!
Interesting approach and series Brent.

Another great set. I like how you can take a ho hum surfing shot and transform it into a artistic piece that totally leaves the original surf shot in the dust. In other words, you take the mundane to new heights, which is difficult to do. I just got my new computer and CC so I now have oil the oil paint filter...Good stuff Brent!!
I love them all! 1 and 12 for me if I have to choose....
All are great. Poster material for sure. I really like how you did the landscapes.
I like them all, especially the first one. I think that they are excellent shots even without the effects.
What kind of camera/lens gear are you using?
