I did the filters in Photoshop CS6 called oil paint and also poster edges, then ran some of the images through SPE (Smart Photo Editor).
Thanks for liking them so much!

Smart Photo Editor is great - I've had a lot of fun with this prog, and can recommend it to all Hogs - especially those who feel that their creative talents may need boosting.

What a talent! I join your legion of admirers who say I like them all. I'll bet if you printed these, say 13x19 , they would sell fast.

You consistently present wonderful images.
Thank you.

I have fond memories of the Pier and Rubys. The girls are great too. I was raised on the Sea Shore but East Coast I couldn't surf, too Tall. Still I love the Beach and Huntington is one of the best.

Delderby, did you create this from my original or my altered photo? Yeah, SPE is almost like cheating it's so easy! lol I suppose if you are a purist then you would do all the effects in Photoshop......but it would take much longer!

Fantastic shots. All of them. Numbers 7, 13, and 15 are evocative. Numbers 13 and 15 made me feel about 14 again (that was 50 years ago). As noted with your previous batch, surfers would snap up prints of those. Some real potential in advertising too. Excellent.

Thank you very much frjack.......I'm glad my images can help restore your youth! Hey........maybe this is a way of tapping into the fountain of youth??

The pier looks like the one in Huntington Beach. I grew up in Huntington Beach and graduated from HBHS in 1962. I remember when Beach Boulevard (Highway 39) was only two lanes and there were alfalfa and lima bean fields.

I lived there until 1973 when I moved to the St. Louis area because my husband came to be on staff at Ralston Purina (Nestle Purina) headquarters.

Would not want to live in California again, even though I have relatives there. It can get cold in the winter and hot in the summer here, but I don't have to deal with all that traffic. We live on 3 wooded acres in a two-story house. Couldn't afford anything like that in California unless we were rich.
These are great. How did you do these? What softwa... (show quote)

I used 2 filters in Photoshop and SPE (Smart Photo Editor) to get these effects like they are. These are approaching surreal......like a painting. I agree with you about the traffic......I try to avoid it whenever possible......you just have to know where and at what time to aviod certain freeways. Yes, it's expensive to live here too.......but we have a certain president that is going to make it very expensive to live anywhere soon with a certain health coverage.......so what are we going to do?

Thanks raleigh for your kind comments. I think I will be attempting to sell these images and others too.....I need to nail down a website to sell them on.

George........I'm 6' 4" and am very tall, and that didn't stop me from surfing. I'm old now but still surf and have raised all 4 of my kids to surf. Are you taller than I am? I'm glad I could post these photos for you to bring back your youth memories!
