It's not the site it's the members. You can go back and read posts from a year ago and if you choose to comment it brings it back to the current page.

That's what I am asking, why does the website bring it back to the front page, why not just leave it in the position it is currently in now?

LOL couldn't start any arguments if it worked like that.

Why does this website put old threads back up on top after so long???

When someone replies to a post, it goes to the top.

Wow, this knowledge is powerful! Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I'm joining everyone else, no more photos posted from me. Unfortunately, doing so inhibits the intent of this forum...especially the photo critique section. How can we learn from others if we cannot post examples!

I await an answer from 'admin' along with everyone else.
If anyone has another forum without that rule, please let me know. THANK YOU!!!!

There is a good, detailed answer from Admin on page 1 (I think) of this thread. This thread was started over two years ago.

That's sure to confuse a lot of people. "Umm, this sounds familiar." :D

Quite worrisome. I have my doubts about the legality of an unsigned contract for perpetual use, or even one time use.

Any camera-carrying legal eagles out there?

Admin;

Appreciate your lengthly response explaining your position as it relates to image ownership.
What many on this web site may not understand is that a electronic signature is as good as one actually signed by the individual in person. This has been upheld in many courts in this and other countries.
It is for this reason that I bid farewell to all who remain on this site and wish them well in attempting to defend a claim against anyone affiliated with this site.
As you've probably noticed I personally have NOT posted or shared any images for the exact reason mentioned in the post to you. While I understaqnd that any entries made by me can not be deleted, I do request that my logon be eliminated from your site.
For those undecided, watch carefully as this site is now launching ads without any request or intervention from the computers owner and in two instances spy ware has been activated. The admin by his own admission has conventently just taken up photography. There are many reputable photo web sites out there, perhaps we'll talk again.

Good Grief!!! I was so thrilled to find this website. So much helpful information. I didn't realize the actual price to be paid for sharing through photographic example.

No more photos from me.

Less posting of photos will shift this forum toward the gearhead crowd. I'm all for it.

Probably would have been best to email this concern with the administration first and get the answer before posting this pre-maturely maybe?? I dunno!

A post like this is perfect for the advertisers. Its not about content, its about hits.
