Less posting of photos will shift this forum toward the gearhead crowd. I'm all for it.

Don't know what page it was on... Read Admin's reply - makes good sense to me, especially the legal protection he is creating.

I completely agree. And if you really are worried, stamp a light watermark over the photo before you post, to protect it. Like bugs is implying, most of the images posted on the forum aren't going to make anyone a million bucks.

Any time we look at legal disclaimers they are likely to make us nervous. But there are practical remedies for any paranoia they might arouse.
Admin's answer, if you take the trouble to find it and read it, is straightforward and honest.
In a nutshell, most of the photos posted here have little or no market value. If you think one of yours is an exception, don't post it or post a reduced version. None of the galleries I have seen will even accept images larger than 850x850 pixels.
Users that download full sized images are probably seeking technical guidance about something that is wrong with the image. But if they are just showing off what they think is a valuable image, they run the risk of theft.

You underestimate me Bugs..... From what I've seen on this site this forum is for ALL who are interested in photography....beginners, intermediates and those well versed in their photographic skills.
Certain people have the desire to appropriate other people's work and it is they that make their personal judgement as to what is worth doing so.
Anyway, I didn't join this site to get into fights or go around diminishing other people. Just want to share what info I might have and learn from others. Sharing the JOY OF PHOTOGRAPHY....that's all.
Have another carrot, Bugs and then get out there and share the JOY!!
