It's really great to see all the activity re the OLY Micro 4/3's--After I gave up the bulk and weight of my Nikon kit (and used Nikon and Leica for 40 years!!) I thought that my selection after a lot of research and trial work of the OLYs beginning with the EP3 and progressing to the EM5 and now going further with the EM1 took me into a lonely world, especially here on UHH, but we're broadening our horizons and I feel like I have more OLY users now for a sounding board

Dpreview just did a complete review on it. Scored an 84 and a gold award.

Thanks for the heads up on the review. Makes me all the more excited to get the camera. Only problem I had was reading all that info with white type on black background. Eyes are still crossed!

That's one of my complaints about that site...as well as the forum being very negative and snobbish...however, their reviews are excellent and fairly brand neutral.

RKraatz, just received my E-M1 a couple of days ago, but the 12-40mm f2.8 lens hasn't come in yet . Still learning my way around this camera, but so far really enjoying it.
Attached photo was taken with the 12-50mm 3.5/6.3 lens, Handheld @ 1/4 second. Definitely gonna have some fun with this camera.

Hand held 1/4 sec... I'm impressed.
Where did you get your camera from?

Don't have the EM-1 as yet, but shoot the OMD-EM5 and can tell you that the in camera image stabilization is fantastic...my hands are 69 years young.

I shoot a lot of birds...the stabilization along with the 2x crop factor and the in-camera 2x teleconverter provide an equivalent reach of up to 1200mm with the Oly 75-300mm lens.

Wow, that review made me feel like it had chocolate and cream poured all over it. Don't really care for his style of writing. Takes too long to wade thru all his superfluous BS.

MY hands are 79!!! years young and the 5 way stabilization feature with my EM5 is nothing short of amazing...(Doesn't quite make up for my loss of rock-steady hands, but it goes a long way toward it!)

Glad to hear that I am not the only one that just got bitten by the EM-1 bug. I just ordered mine also. I also started with Olympus film, still have my Om1, OM10, and a variety of lenses that I currently use with my E5. I can't wait till it gets here.
