My passion is street photography and photographing people in their natural habitat, working, having fun, nothing posed. I like to indulge in some landscape too, I'm not good at it but I love to be outdoors.

I salute you sir. I love looking at great street photography, but I'm not comfortable with doing it myself. I too rather shoot people 'unposed'.

Besides photographing my own family, my passion is 1930-50 style pin-up and modern boudoir photography. There is something about helping other woman discover their sexy/diva side that makes me enjoy what I am doing.

There is a total transformation from the the first awkward pose to wrapping up a session and then when I sit them down for their viewing/ordering session the look they get on their face when they actually see how amazing they look. I love my job <3

I'll bet that really is rewarding. I've never done any type of portraiture, but that sounds like it could be fun.

I looked at your link. Beautiful photography!

Thank you very much, first for having a look & second for your kind words. A comment like that puts a smile on my face for the whole day.

I'm into nature. Wildlife, landscapes, flowers, macros. I do like to dabble in the fun stuff like using presets. As a wildlife and nature artist photography is instant gratification for me.

Photos, mostly snapshots, of my friends, family, and places which will forever inspire happy memories of the times I have had and places I have been. I know it sounds trite, but I would willingly surrender all my so called technically correct and visually interesting images to keep possession of my dog eared snaps. That is my photographic passion.....memories. 8-)

You're not alone. I suspect there are a lot more of us out there than will admit.

Being a Yooper you have some great stuff to photograph too. When our kids were little we use to travel the UP camping and such. Too bad I was into photography then. I need to get back up there.

I love macro photography too. Last winter I got a picture of a snowflake smaller than my little finger nail that looked like a diamond

I'm hoping to get a macro lens in time to try snowflakes. :)

i think the canon macro lenses are a 65, 100, and 180
I have the 100 and love it.
the difference in them is that if you use the 65, you need to be in so close that you might be creating a shadow on your subject. and if you photograph wasps you probably want the 180 so you can be further away from them. I didn't know that when I bought mine or I would have gone with the 180. but the 100 also makes for a good portrait lens

I was looking at them yesterday. I don't think I want to spend the money for the 180, but I'd love to have it for sure. I'm hoping to get the 100mm soon. If I could find the 180 used or refurbished (and I will look) I'd get that.

I know what you mean, angler. I feel like a newborn with so much to learn. I can really see a difference in my shots though. My composition is improving, my sharpness is improving, and my understanding of lighting is inching along. I honestly believe that lighting is the biggest and most difficult to grasp, at least for me that is.

Oh I love waterfalls, pappy! I haven't really gotten the opportunity to photograph one yet, but I REALLY want to.
