Thanks! Got to figure this out. Not sure what to do first????
Did you just do a Windows update?
Or was one done automatically?
Sounds like a firewall issue.
Do you have UHH as fully allowed in the firewall?
You might consider getting Chrome or FireFox, as IE9 is known to have problems uploading to UHH.
I use Chrome, with the AdBlock+ extension, and I see almost no adverts anymore.

That forces us to download a full size image whenever we open the thread. Whether we want it or not.
Not a nice thing for those that still don't have unlimited usage and broadband speeds.

Have had problems in the past using Windows 7 and IE. If I can't upload I immediately go to Chrome, but haven't had to in the last few weeks. Nothing has bothered anyone's Avatar, though.
Maybe you need Java update ?

Personally I use photobucket, save my shots there and simply copy the link to here
Why?
When I post to a forum that's just what I do, I post to a forum. When I want to view an image on a forum that's where I want to see it, not to be directed elsewhere. If everyone did as you do this might just as well be a text only forum.

Thanks everyone. Have been trying a couple of things. Uploaded Firefox and tried it. No go, and went back and reinstalled Chrome. Still the same problem. Just updated Java, not sure about windows. Will clean up drivers now.
Back in a few!

Make sure you clean up TEMP files too!! The free CCleaner program does a good job helping with this. A lot of techs use it as a start to clean up computers.
Did a disk cleanup and still problems with this site only. Wife's computer; same thing. Could be a problem with comcast, but why only this site and not all the rest????

Good question, and welcome to the wonderful world of computers!!
No hard and fast 'rules' about most of it!
Do you have plenty of hard drive free space? I was having a problem a month ago and moved all my pictures off to an external and the computer and internet all go much faster now.
83% empty! Should be good to go. Running a defrag now. I'm running out of options.
Java was updated last week. But thanks!

At 83% empty it probably won't change things.
Which version of IE are you running? I had some problems with IE 9 that got worse with IE 10 (incompatible with MS Outlook 2010), particularly with Vista but also with Windows 7 64-bit.
Also, which Internet security program are you using?

Thanks JR! Just tried uploading another photo. It only shows the photo icon. It is an rc jet. I am assuming you and others can see this. If so, I have a problem HOUSTON!
I know this should not be, but have you tried closing your browser, then opening it again and see if the image is there then?

Running 8 on XP with Chrome. Have not had any problems till Saturday. Defrag didn't work either. Still have problem with no photo's on this site. No avatars either. Only the little red X.
