The Moon tonight with the ring around it.. anyone get a good shot of that?

No ring here either but got my first "almost half-way decent" shot of the moon tonite. Beautiful but no ring.

With Nikonian72's help....here's what I was able to do tonight.
Iso 200 f14 1/60 300mm. No tripod...I had the camera and myself pressed against a tree. AF on...VR off

thank you...I've been dreaming of this result for a long time. I know there's room to improve...got to try that 'live view' focus. But I'm pleased....and there's tomorrow.

Much steadier than my tripod! But the dog never likes the walk when I have the camers.

I'd love to get out of NY...move to Cali...then I could blame the soft focus on earthquakes!
