I wasn't going to post to this thread myself, but I finally downloaded my pics to the computer and really liked our first sunrise so I am putting a couple on here. No processing at all, straight out of camera for both, but I did crop the sunrise to a pano to eliminate the dark foreground.

Gee Shooter, I don't know why you should hesitate to post on this thread. I would love to see what you came up with. Here is my version of the same mountain. Straight out of the camera...straight to photoshop.

You guys are making me insanely jealous.

A couple of questions?
Were there any spouses/significant others? Or just shooters?
Where did you stay?
Were the campgrounds open?

Some of us stayed at Mammoth Hot Springs Lodge in Yellowstone, some stayed in the cabins at Mammoth. I did see a campground at Mammoth. My husband and I made a 2 week vacation out of it, but he did not attend the seminar with me. Everyone had a great time and we learned a lot from MT. Hope that helps.

The campground was open, but did it require hard sides?, as in no tents? I know that some campgrounds do not allow tents because of the wildlife.

Thanks CM. I have been enjoying all of the terrific photos from everyone in the group. After seeing the really nice close up of the buffalo, that Dee...I mean Pockets posted, I thought I would toss a Buffalo in.
Keep posting everyone, I am enjoying the differing views of the same scenes. Its cool to see how other people capture a scene that you shot, it is a great way to learn.

I would to see some Shooter's work too. Tony, that's a beautiful shot of the mountain.

I don't understand why they didn't stick around and get some people pictures of their own. They weren't going to find a more interesting group of people in the park.
