Many of us need the occasional rant. But I have found that there really are only a handful who are truly vile and nasty. Just shun them.

Why do they always come bleating that everyone is awful on here and they just cant take it anymore?? so why dont you just leave or stay away from this forum if you find it to difficult not to click on non (photography talk)then you had better leave as photography is a little bit harder than a simple click.

Well.... I have thought that the Chit Chat Forum is rather tame, I have been called, stupid, idiot, and other such things.... but gheeeesh, those are a lot easier on my ego than some of the things I have been called.....

Reading General Chit Chat is much like driving passed a fatal accident.After you see some gore you wish you didn't look.There have been a few times I have had to stay away to ward off the effects of Kriptonite.

I thought that general chit-chat could be a good forum for free discussion of both political and religious topics, but as you say, the things that are said on here have gotten way out of hand, and ADMIN is not controlling it. The post of Jesus in a dog's butt did it for me. I asked ADMIN to remove it and they didn't. So, although I haven't jumped, I understand those who do. It's not a nice place anymore. Not that it hasn't alway been somewhat intense, but never to this degree.

Will, I understand your frustration. I'm new here, and the level of invective some folks descend to in the Chat section is appalling. I wonder if they'd dare make these remarks face to face? I'd enjoy discussing politics, etc. with those of differing views, but I've always felt that he/she who descends to insult has shown that they really can't defend their position, and are too close-minded to consider the possibility that other views may have, just maybe, some possible, tiny bit of validity! What a concept! :)

Yes, one can avoid the Chat area, but I've seen trolls invade other areas and spew dreck totally unrelated to the topic at hand. Some of these folks need to be banned from posting for a while.

I'll miss the jokes but gotta agree, Chit-chat is out of control and it's bleeding like a cancer into other sections of the forum. I didn't know I could unsubscribe to sections but that's what I'm going to do.

Stick around Will, there's always going to be a few ar***oles where ever you go :) :) :)

George...What I particularly object to in the photo forums is those who are particularly rude to new posters or perhaps even new to photography posters.
