Here is one of the more beautiful nebulae found in our galaxy. It is very bright and easily seen through even a small telescope. I took this photo during my stay in Namibia, Africa as a resident astronomer at Sosussvlei Desert Lodge. 12-inch Meade LX200 Telescope, Canon 60Da camera. Exposures 15 seconds stack of 12 exposures. Telescope operating at f/10.

Thanks globetrekker, yep that's the correct word and although they're not members of UHH (and I've been trying to get them to join), I do know a lot of astrophotographers.
