Beautiful. What type of metering? I use mostly spot and cant get this sharp.

thank you ! i have not yet begun to choose and adjust the metering modes or any of the manuel settings of my nikon coolpix p510, but it's on my list of things i need to do. i shot this on automatic through a window i had cleaned, and i used the top of a chair for a tripod. i think it was just a lucky shot:)

What a beautiful shot of him! Very well done. We have woodpeckers of several varieties at our suet stations non-stop all day long, and I particularly enjoy watching the parents feed their fledglings there.
