Although it is a little small for my tastes, I considered purchasing it but all that darn rigging just wouldn't allow me to land my helicopter on deck! ;-)

Yes but you could play monkey all day long. Thanks.

Beautiful yacht! Love the one at night! Thank you for sharing! My brother is a boater and this would be a boat he would say "nice" with that special look that sailors have.

God, what a beautiful boat.
From my limited time in Alaska, those pics look as if they were taken on pretty nice summer days.

The weather was definitely lousy that day, I should stress I am used to bad weather. With the exception of #1 photo taken from my living room I really had to twist my arm to go out, especially for the night shot.I realized the yacht would be probably gone in the morning (I was right) and the photographer in me prevailed. At that point I did not know I would see Athena ever again.Thanks.

Ivan, I really like that night shot! Anything on the water in low light is a tough shot, something is always moving so long exposures usually won't work.

It's a shame there was nothing in the frame to gauge the size against. I spent three years on a Destroyer and at 325' it wasn't much longer than the Athena. We had a crew of 300.

Thanks Coot.Yes,you know what you are talking about. We have big tides (up to 24feet) in this area, the yacht was anchored but the tide was turning it around the anchor so I had only a limited window of opportunity.I will have another topic about Athena in the future,I may have another ship or a boat going by it.
Also THANK YOU for serving.

Well that would be rich experience in more ways than one.
I did not work on any of those superfancy yachts but been around smaller ones with clients from the top US financial institutions like Morgan Stanley etc. What can I say, it was rewarding experience.
