Last night at 10:30pm, I heard an owl. Getting dressed and grabbing my camera on this dark night, I set the ISO to 12800 and selected shutter priority and ventured to the wood. The hoots guided me; I soon got this shot. I know, I know...but hey, look at his eyes. If anyone can improve my night skills, let me know. But hey, the night WAS DARK!

I really like the first one. I even like the "noise"!!

There are a couple of things I would try with this photo. I would crop a little more off of the left side then lighten/saturate the yellow in the eyes.

However, this is a fine photo as it is. I think most of us would have missed this shot by thinking it just couldn't be done.

Nice Capture on the Owl!
a little grainy but good composition.
They are so incredibly elusive.
I have missed so many good shots because they saw me.
Now that shot of the Hawk is Excellent! :)

Fantastic Post production work.
Utiltizes the 'Noise' to create an interesting ambiance.
Kind of reminds me of the work of some of the "Impressionist's" eg. Seurat or VanGough
