I'm with you, Joe. Nothing wrong with being our own toughest critic. That said, these are still darn good images!

Thank you Raymond. That's kind of you.

I'm with you Joe. Clicking the button is only half the job. No one, not even Ansel, has taken the perfect shot in the camera yet, but I'm working on it.

Hi Neighbour.

I knew you'd understand. We were at the lift locks last weekend. Thanks a lot Peter. Much appreciated.

Thank you for the commentary. I couldn't agree with you more on the PP. It is just learning how to do it and do it well that I have to work on. It looks like you have mastered it.

I agree with you totally. It is a very rare pic that doesn't need something in PP. That is not an excuse to be sloppy in the field however.

My passion is wildlife photography, so I especially appreciate your pics. Nice framing, IQ, composition, exposure, etc., etc., etc.- but really, I just like them.

Great job.

Here is one of mine from Serengeti.

To plagarise what Maverick said to Iceman at the end of 'Top Gun',
Joe, you can be my wingman anytime!

PS. What does IQ stand for in photographic context?

What I really enjoyed about this series was that you shared your thought process. I found this particularly helpful in assessing the various aspects of the photos. I hope you will share more of this kind of information as tutorials for those of us who are trying to learn. We already know you are a master of your craft, so learning how you evaluate your photos is a huge help. Thank you. -Vicki

I am with Joe. If you shoot raw you have PP. I don't care what you do to a photograph. I either like it or I don't. It's all in the eye of the BEER holder.

This is a great post Joe. I love to photoshop, when I look at my finial print I feel I have been creative in two ways, taking the picture and then processing it. It's a lot of fun for me. Last month I took some pics of a close friends grandkids. When I looked at them on the computer I thought they were horrible, my wife looked at them and said they were beautiful. So in a way I am kinda like your wife Joe, I think all your photos are beautiful.

I leave Wednesday for Texas to see my grandkids, all the best to you.

Michael
