Thank You so much Al! You are more than welcome to share coffee when ever you are up this way.
Thanks for pointing out some of the places to see and the whale watch.
It's a photographers dream.
Looking to writing again to you. Enjoy your Day now that it's cooled off and the humidity dropped. Joe
Thank you everyone for the suggestions. I didn't want to clutter the thread with individual responses but I really appreciate each contribution and the ideas that have come from them. Having to pick and choose as I knew we would. Would break up into several trips if I thought we would actually take them.
Thank You, happy to hear it helped!

If you are planning to visit Mt Washington, yo will be driving right by Jackson Village, KILLER waterfall right in town. Further north you will encounter Glen Ellis Falls and the Mt Washington trails.
If you drive on 302 towards Twin Mountain you will find Arethusa falls, 1,6 mile hike UP. Fortunately Coliseum Falls is only 3/4 mile from the parking area, gorgeous falls.
Frankenstein Cliffs is a great walk.
If you travel the Kanc (Kancamagus Pass) look for Sabbaday falls, 1/2 mile easy walk to a very nice falls.
Lakes and overlooks dot the Kanc and leave you right by Cathredral Ledge, biggest damn chunk of granite you are likely to see. Diana's Baths is right up the road. a fantastic place to shoot.
New Hampshire is over 90% wilderness, ENJOY
Post some images
Franconia Notch on the list? Falling Waters Trail is worth the best part of a day by it's self. AND much nicer venue that the Flume.
Bring PLENTY of water where ever you hike,
If you have time visit NH tourism site and ask for a flyer and map.

Right all the way. Love that spot in Heaven. Point your camera where your heart tells you. Stop and think about composition. Shoot. Move around the area...and shoot again, again...Enjoy. :-D e
Thank You so much for the information. It sound like a must trip thanks to you. Great pictures
Joe,
The other posts list some great spots in NE for photo ops, but I noticed that you intend to end your trip in NYC. So, on your way south I would suggest Newport (a little prejudiced since I live there) and the southern coast of RI to Point Judith (along route 1A and ocean rd), into CT and Mystic (seaport, aquarium, the town), if interested - Submarine Force Museum and USS Nautilus in Groton, then many great photo ops along the CT coast (going on and of Rt 95 to hit those of interest). OR another route south catch the cross sound ferry from New London, CT to Orient Point on Long Island and see the many great spots as you travel down the island to NYC.
Have a great trip!
I cannot thank you enough that is some incredible information and would make for an amazing trip.
Thank You so much again, Joe
Make sure you drive the kancamagus highway, stop in North Conway(quaint town shots along with old railroads tracks and trains), Also Diana's Bath, Cathedral Ledge you can drive to the top for great views of the Mt washington valley, take route 16 towards Chocorua for mountain lake view reflection. Castel in the clouds, Lake Winnipesaukee their are so many and you just barely touched the mountain region of NH. If you want more info lived here for 30 years and have been taking pictures of the area longer
Thanks for all your advice it is and will be very helpful , Joe

Mt Washington is almost a must tho, along with other sites along the Franconia Notch up in the White's. Portsmouth NH...not only for the John Paul Jones house, but for the fishing wharfs as well. Get up into Vermont's Green Mountains.
I agree. But be careful with the top of Mt Washington. It can easily take an entire day, and is very often covered with fog/clouds. We called the day we were going and they told me visibility was zero. Glad I called first. I forget it's name, but I think this is along the Franconia Notch. Maybe someone here can help with the name.

Wonderful images of Basin and Rocky Gorge !!. Kanc has so many great trails and features, one could load a camera and walk for a week
Acadia is a definite must! However, you would need at the very least, several days to just scratch the surface of what you can experience in this wonderful place. I have been vacationing there since the late '80,s and I keep returning year after year. Fall I feel is the best time ( autumn colors ), but it still is very beautiful with the summer green. Maybe you can spend just a day or so there just to get a feel for the area and come back later for an extended visit. Regardless, have a great time.
