All of them. Meeting somebody in two and sampling rest. Been many years for me and first time for family. Not enough time to get too far in Maine or Northern VT unless it's too awesome to leave out.

Plans so far include Boston, Providence, Mt. Washington, Lighthouses in Maine and/or NH, and MA. Ending in NYC.

Mt. Washington is the most out of the way from core of trip in MA. Anything else like it farther south?

Mt Washington is almost a must tho, along with other sites along the Franconia Notch up in the White's. Portsmouth NH...not only for the John Paul Jones house, but for the fishing wharfs as well. Get up into Vermont's Green Mountains.

The flume near the ole man of the mountain spot is great for photos and hiking a couple miles in a gorge.

I got some of my most spectacular landscape shots around Bar Harbor in Maine. Hope to get up there again sometime.

If you are planning to visit Mt Washington, yo will be driving right by Jackson Village, KILLER waterfall right in town. Further north you will encounter Glen Ellis Falls and the Mt Washington trails.

If you drive on 302 towards Twin Mountain you will find Arethusa falls, 1,6 mile hike UP. Fortunately Coliseum Falls is only 3/4 mile from the parking area, gorgeous falls.

Frankenstein Cliffs is a great walk.
If you travel the Kanc (Kancamagus Pass) look for Sabbaday falls, 1/2 mile easy walk to a very nice falls.
Lakes and overlooks dot the Kanc and leave you right by Cathredral Ledge, biggest damn chunk of granite you are likely to see. Diana's Baths is right up the road. a fantastic place to shoot.

New Hampshire is over 90% wilderness, ENJOY

Post some images

Franconia Notch on the list? Falling Waters Trail is worth the best part of a day by it's self. AND much nicer venue that the Flume.

Bring PLENTY of water where ever you hike,
If you have time visit NH tourism site and ask for a flyer and map.

I grew up in Providence, live a short distance from there now. Plenty of history to take photos on on the east side of Providence where Brown University is located. Newport is also a fantastic stop too.

Check out former Providence Journal photographer Richard Benjamin's work. It will give you a flavor of what things look like across the small state of RI;

If you are heading to Boston area, a little but north (about 20 minutes) is Salem - House of Seven Gables, Witch House, Derby Wharf etc. Right next to it is Danvers, where the witchcraft controversy actually originated if you're in to that stuff. The Rebecca Nurse Homestead is located there. Plenty of historic things in that area. Salem, Rockport, and Gloucester are great places to get some photos.

Also nice is Newburyport but that's a bit further up 95 (or rt 1), about 45 minutes from Boston.

I Live 20 minutes south of Boston, would be glad to share a cup of coffee and point out a few sights. Plymouth is a vibrant, pretty area as well as the birthplace of our country.
Waterfire in Providence (google it) is fun and you can get some amazing shots of the fires on the river. You can also take a four hour whale watching cruise from Plymouth and you are practically guaranteed some great photo ops.
