Why does one have to be a "phobe" because he/she doesn't care for the gay lifestyle? A phobia is a fear, and I'm neither afraid of gays nor question my own sexuality. I just don't care for the idea or reality of homosexuality. I guess that must be why I use a DSLR.

Phobe Test for a Man... Think about this:

When you meet a new man, and you have one of those first meeting thoughts that "Hey he's really attractive, and I wonder what it would be like to kiss him passionately and with tongue", and you just can't shake the thought......

Do you feel fear or revulsion. If so, you are homophobic.

By the Way Kwils... If you are so concerned about posts off the topic of photography, why are you on Ugly Hedge Hog. When I want specifically photography, I go to Photo.net, rangefinderforum.com, and others. When I want something in between good photographic information and UHH, I use Photocamel.com

I come here for the histrionics and drama.

Because this forum is for photography. This entire thread belongs in the "General Chit-Chat" forum. Look it up.

My apologies. I could have been clearer...

I pretty much regard everything I see on UHH as General Chit Chat. But fun, and sometimes highly comical Chit Chat.d

For some of us, rules mean Nothing,,, Nothing!!!!

I've been to three Walmarts and a Office Max and seen the lens opening uncovered on Nikon and Canon bodies. I've spoken to the people in charge and explained why they should be covered and that a cover should come with the camera. Each time they seemed very unconcerned and told me they were just the demos. Several month ago, I was at one of the Walmarts and noticed a group of well dressed dressed people touring the store. An employee told me they were from corporate and were inspecting the store. I had a talk with them about their cameras and the next time I was there the cameras were gone and there were signs in their place. Recently I passed through the camera area and the cameras were back, this time with covers on them. It will be interesting to see if the other stores followed suit?

I'm with you dpullum.... It's all in the timing! I shop anywhere I can get the best price. I order from Walmart.com whenever I can. Sometimes the price is cheaper than in the store. A lot of times you can get free delivery the the house. (I also get a 10% discount to boot because my wife worked there for 30 years.) That helps!!!

I shop for groceries and play clothes for my grandkids. The groceries have to be in a factory sealed container of some sort. I check for expiration. You would be surprised how out of date some of the stuff is. I feel like Detective Monk when I bring a bunch of stuff to the check out and tell them it is all expired. Everything else I get somewhere else. When my wife comes along she takes the seat belt intended for the kids and ties her purse down. A good friend lost her purse at Walmart and it was never found or the thief that took it either
I shop for groceries and play clothes for my grand... (show quote)

That can happen at any store in any part of this country

Unfortunately for a brick and mortar store, it is mostly the only place where I can buy or at least price electronics, including camera equipment in my area. Having something called a "Geek Squad" you would still think they may know "something" about cameras. After all I don't think they switch up associates like Walmart, from produce to electronics to guarantee they are all cross trained.

My son worked there years ago, in electronics. They would occasionally bring people from the floor to work the registers. The register people got a higher hourly rate, so it was cheaper to pull people from the floor than to schedule enough cashiers.

Another Big Plus, and slap in the face for the Walmart Naysayers.

Walmart will be one of the few and first stores replacing TWINKIES on their store shelves, since the Hostess Bankruptcy.

THIS IS GOOD NEWS!!! Posted on the internet today.

Walmart has slated to have TWINKIES in "collectible" boxes in 3000 stores by Sunday, July 14. I am elated, as I thought I was going to have to give up Pot.

So, the next time you "DO" a big doobie with your special other or the gang, make sure you have enough gas in the family jalopy to make it to the nearest Walmart.

If they do this, and if they also choose to augment employee paychecks with boxes of TWINKIES each payday, there will NEVER be another approach by unions to the Walmart labor force.

Yippee!!

Kwil... what does this have to do with photography?

Many of my award winning photographs were taken while high on pot and filled up on TWINKIES!

Kuzano, I hope you mean for them to make their munchie run before toking up. I'd hate to think your advocating they drive while under the influence.

I went to Wal-Mart to by some Thistle seed for my finches, I could not find any kind of seed. They told me bird seed is seasonal.
