I'm not even sure which shot they liked. I'll probably find out today and then post the picture.

Looks like the marshes off Rt 9 in Eagleswood! T have a great set of snowy and great egrets as well as willets and glossy ibis from the marshes there! Fern and Dock Roads are great! Next trip is back to Forsythe in Oceanville but it is green head fly season! Best time there is Sept! Used to be dozens of night herons there in the lake! Super Storm Sandy ruined much of the preserve!

I took these pictures along "Seven Bridges Road" that goes east from Tuckerton. It was indeed green head season. Got chomped on a few times. Very unpleasant.
those friendly chompers. mix about an ounce of olive oil then put about 10 to 15 drops of pepperment drops. carry it with you, put 3 or 4 drops of mix, just rub it on skin. they do not like pepperment, garlic juice, an cayanne pepper juice. but dont let pepperment get on eyes. works very well.
That is a recipe I can live with. Thanks, I'll try it

Know just where it is.....be careful of the turtles crossing the road at high tide! Great place to photograph wild life! Thank you!

thank you for the suggestion as I also photograph out by the marshes ....and we have a green head fly invasion in July and August!
Recently they have posted Turtle X-ing signs along the route where turtles frequently cross the road. A good idea; but I still see people speeding by. We need to get these people cameras so they will slow down and look for targets.

I agree! The saddest thing is to see them speeding and hit one turtle and not even stop!
