evening in the marsh

I was tired of editing my European pictures, so I took a break and spent the evening in the marsh with my friends the egrets. Got a few nice shots; but when I got back there was a message on my phone that I won a photo contest (ironically the subject was birds) which is worth $200 of Nikon equipment. It occurs to me that I don't have a decent flash unit?! Anyone have any suggestions. It has to be Nikon because they sponsored the contest.

Oh I love egrets, very nice! We have an egret reserve nearby, I hope to visit it next winter it is hard to get in.

Thank you. It was quite a surprise to me to get the message. I have no idea which picture won, but when I find out....I'll post it.

Yeah, nice little bonus there. I guess I'll be taking a trip to the photo store today. I'd like to find out what image they liked.
