You can have the same drop.box access one each of your computers or sign on any smartphone, tablet or Computer. I have Drop.box for a place to keep photos that I may want to share on a moments notice, with my phone or tablet.

I have just tried drop box and find that the photo size is drastically (about half) reduced, thus not making the greatest quality for download. I guess it's great for just SHOWING the photos across devices.
Because of the file size limit of Dropbox is why I like to transport files using Box.com.

I have uploaded files to box.com and am waiting to see how well it works for sharing files. Thanks for the suggestion
You can use picasa very easily, and have people access the photos without needing to download them to their computer. You can also build a slide show as you mentioned and then upload it to Vimeo ( similar to YouTube) and share it simply by sending the link via email.
Thank you so very much.
I looked at the videos on your website.
You are really good at making videos.
Did you do all this on picasa?
Wow, I look forward to learning.
Did you develop your website on Picasa as well?

Most of my videos were made with iMovie or iDVD. My website was made on a site called "blogspot". I only use Picasa to upload photos to share...but there are a lot of features to enhance your photos if you download Picasa to your hard drive. Thanks for looking!
Try using dropbox. You place your photos into the public folder within dropbox then email your friend the public folder URL which you can get by right clicking the public folder and selecting "Share Dropbox Link". They can then download straight from the folder. It works for any file, not just pictures.
Just remember to allow sufficient time for your pictures to upload. Uploads take much longer than downloads, so don't send the link until everything is in place, otherwise they'll just find an empty folder.
Hope this helps
I have used Dropbox as many others have also said previously.
Also, more than that I use Sky Drive. Straight from your email- if using windows. When doing your attachments it will say that files are too large for email would you like to send via Sky Drive. You add them and the viewer can upload them at which size option you chose for them to be sent.
I will add that this take awhile to load and send. Good luck. 😊
I personally have stopped using any free photo sharing sites (including facebook)because your pictures become thier property which they can and do sell to advertisers. This may not be a problem most of the time as probably most of my photos are not marketable anyway but i don't like the idea of someone else having the rights to my pictures. When it comes to the internet if you are not paying for the product...you are the product.
Thanks for the tip about wettransfer.com. Just used it and it works great. Sent 10 photos to a friend. :)

I've been taking 80-125 pictures for friends functions/parties which end up to be too large of mega bite files to send to them by by email. Sometimes I put them into a slideshow with music. What's a good way to send these pictures to them without having to use a zip file? I heard maybe SmugMug is a good program or Picasso.
Does anyone know of a good program that works well?
Don
You could re-size them or put them on Google drive for the recipient to download,
Bob.
