What does that have to do with anything? What semblance of logic could you even begin to be using for such a dumb statement? Did they change out the administration and staff of the school as a result of an election?

To put in a way that even you would understand, why would "gun nuts" grill a little kid for 2 hours over a mere toy gun?

Please suggest a relationship the teacher/principal had that would warrant grilling a 5 year old kid for two hours about a cap pistol.

A re-read of the WP article would be in order. The boy was not grilled for two hours. Assuming the truthfulness of the authorities and the boy's mother, he was questioned for five to seven minutes. The mother claims that it was over two hours before she was notified about the incident.

What a stupid thing to say.

Yes. I wonder if they voted that way to try to head off more proliferation of this sort of nonsense.

Your hatred of any thing government and the opportunity to pick on liberals and California is well known but in your right wing excitement slow down and get your facts straight that happened in Maryland not Calif. You can spin it but you're a hater plain and simple.

Yes, but I was referring to an incident of a middle school student who beat the crap out of her teacher, and was lightly punished, I probably was a little confused, maybe she did get a couple of days suspension but nothing more. Then California comes out with the law linked below which is very vague in its definition of willful defiance...

BTW, I don't hate California, I actually think that it is a beautiful state with much to offer. My only worry about California is that they work their way out of their own mess. They can run their state anyway they see fit as long as they do not burden the rest of us with promises that they could not keep.

Just don't like the obvious do you? There are several instances of this happening all over the country, what happened to common sense? The child is 5 years old, however this is an event that will follow him, the school has sent him a very strong message that he is unworthy of finishing the school year with his class for the simple act of bringing a harmless toy to school.... The insanity of non application of common sense... the child deserved a talking to and to have the gun taken away during the school day to be returning with the message to not bring it back.

Instead he is made to sit through hours of teachers and administrators asking him questions and telling him that he is in trouble for the heinous act he has committed, they upset him to the point that he peed his pants? How is this not child abuse by adults and school administrators who damn sure should know better. They then follow it up with a suspension and remove him from the end of year activities with his classmates. The insanity of the left for the dumbass principles that they believe in exclude the application of common sense and reason... It is you that is brain dead Richard, you just don't like hearing the truth.

I treat my dog better than this school treated this child.
Just don't like the obvious do you? There are seve... (show quote)

Ouch!! Richard, do you have ANY idea how thoroughly and utterly you just got bitch-slapped? HaHaHa! ...HA!!

"A reread of the WP article would be in order."
Could someone else please reread the article.
I can not find "he was questioned for five to seven minutes."

I did re-read the article and here is what it said:
"The child was questioned for more than two hours before his mother was called, she said, adding that he uncharacteristically wet his pants during the episode. The boy is 5 — “all bugs and frogs and cowboys,” his mother said."

I wonder just what kind of questions one could ask for two hours of a five year old with a cap gun? Sounds like it was more of a 2 hour abuse session to me... What the hell did they think the five year old might have to say about his cap gun?

As long as we are making stuff up :?:

"He was handcuffed and strip searched too."

Some people don't think we will check.

Another typical half-truth over-sensationalized Washington Post story.

Questioned for two straight hours? Really? According to whom, the parents? The Post conveniently ommits naming the source, as it would turn this into a non-story: a kid brings a mock gun to school, aims it a fellow students, is separated from the rest of the student body, and the parents are called. Nothing unusual.

According to one from a different source, the kid was "arrested" (so to speek) at 8:35, and his mother was not called until about 10:30; do the math
