The purpose of my post was to get advice on the post production. There are some that can be mean spirited and think that I am joking. I have found the people on the Shutter Talk blog to be much kinder and helpful.
I agree with your assessment of some of the comments.
Your work is much better than those 'cruel' comments.
I think these images are very well done, much better than the work of some who like to drag down other peoples work.

Well, the title WAS "Be honest."
Thanks, you are so kind. If people want to be critical, they could at least give constructive advice. Sometimes I know why it is called"Ugly" hedgehog.BTW what do you think of this, I used a digital background.
no, I don't think your there just yet....keep practicing...it will come (someday)
I do really like the b&w which I am a big fan of but me close second would be the full color one thanks for sharing
I LOVE the second one!!! It's a moving moment that you captured well despite tons of other people around!! I would frame it!!! :)

This is my daughter-in-law and my 15 month old grand daughter. I think I had the camera set for automatic since there where 6 adults and 7 grandkids running around. This is the orginal, B&W, and B&W with a touch of color. Which is your choice. Do you think I am ready to do this commercially?
The color shot is spoilt by the yellow t-shirt in the background but this could be cloned out.
The B&W I think the vinyette is to bold, but love this shot it is just the fine detail. If you are going to go to the next level you alone have to be the biggest critic of your work
If you are ready to do this you should have the confidence which maybe at the moment you lack
But it is very hard to evaluate you as a photographer from 1 work
More practice, more postings, more confidence and make sure you know what your camera is set up at otherwise how can you correct your mistakes
Just my honest opinion on what you posted
If you want to make it you will, its all self belief and confidence
