Aaron - Optech Utility Sling - http://optechusa.com/straps/utility-strap-sling.html

The photo is a little confusing as it appears to suggest attachment to only one camera lug. Never fear, the sling comes with attachments for two camera lugs which will comfortably take the weight of your camera and a 70-200 lens. I'm impressed !

Great link craggy, this sounds like the way to go for me. There was a post the other day where someone's black rapids system failed when the swivel wore out and his camera went crashing down his front steps.

Op tech or Black Rapid, unfortunately things fail...thats why it's a good idea to check moving parts for ware and tare and replace if needed...just like brakes on a car, ya don't wait till they fail to change um, :(

If you are handholding your combo I attach the Black Rapid to the lens foot

Domke still sells the contoured USPS rubber strap that is sloped to stay on your shoulder. In the day Letter Carriers carried large leather bags plus the mail (pre junk mail) weighing more than most of us carry today. Plus with 2 shoulders and 1 Neck you can get some relief by switching sides. Not exactly a reply to your post but my solution works for me;-)

Love my Black Rapid as well

Black Rapid shoulder strap. I can wear it all day with my 5d camera and 70-200 lens. I'm sure there are other brands the main thing is to get the weight off the back of your neck.

OPTECH sling with optional accessory lead.

I agree with this. I just bought this strap for my D7000 and carry it with the 70-300 attached most of the time and it works just great as it takes the weight off ones neck.

Looking for recommendations for a Good Camera Neck Strap for my D7000 which can take the weight of a heavy lens 70-200 F/2.8

Often the Nikon Brand Strap that came with the Camera can get uncomfortable around my neck after a while, so am reaching out to my fellow UHH mates for some comfortable recommendations, that you may currently use or know off.

Cheers Mates.

I have a D300s with the same lens and I use the "Carry Speed CS-Pro". What I like about it is that with the heavier lens, it mount to both the camera and the lens, which not only makes for a more secure mount, but also holds the camera and lens parallel to the ground. It also mounts to the camera with a mounting plate that that has a swivel on it. The mounting plate make for a very secure attachment and it does not have to be taken off when you use a tripod. I have attached a U-Tube video below of a review that was done on it.

I have used nothing but OpTech straps on my cameras since 1982, and I still use that first one every day, it is now on my Nikon D7100. They are priced right and will literally outlast your camera. Also the most comfortable strap on the market. I can personally recommend both the sling strap and Pro Loop strap models for single camera use with any lens attached.

Also OpTech has dual harness that can carry two cameras. I find that handy for one camera and pouch. I have neck problems and find this the only solution to evening out weight. Pro-loop. We can all agree they get heavy.

Op/Tech dual harness. I ahve used mine to carry the camera in front, under my arm, two cameras - one under each arm and a camera under one arm and a monopod under the other.

Op/Tech Bino Harness. It spreads the weight to both shoulders and off the neck, and the camera is instantly available. It can also be used as an ordinary shoulder strap. I used a Black Rapid but never trusted the tripod mount, and couldn't put the camera down properly on a table, so I switched to the Op/Tech.

Ya gotta love it. Change Op/Tech to Nikon and change Black Rapid to Canon, what one do you recommend and why ? Kinda interesting.
