Don't know if anyone is interested in pics from 'Downunder' but I enjoy browsing the photos here, so thought I would take a deep breathe and jump in. Only pics I have 'saved for web' were for my website so they have been taken over a range of time.
Taken either with a Nikon D200 or D300s.
Lenses used all Nikkor, either an old 80-200 2.8, 50mm 1.8 or my more recent 70-300 4.5-5.6.
I enjoy animal, people and street photography and try to combine all three when I can.
Thoroughbred. One of our horses when on the farm.
A rural family asked me to take a work day on their property (I used to specialise in this).
Just a common Seagull on the shore.
Vegas was a clients dog. Sadly, had cancer and died only a few days later. Very stoic and put on a happy face for her pics but would lie down with head on paws between shots.
I still get asked to do Hunts. Good sellers too.

Tony, welcome to the forum and great set there, sad about the dog Vegas but she/he must have enjoyed the attention of getting its picture taken, beautiful dog, very nice shot.

Thanks for your comment.
Yes she wasn't happy and it was a difficult session as she had had a lot of her coat shaved off.
Cheers

I have a whole folder of derelict old barns. Love 'em.
A budding Cowboy.
Mt Ruapehu. Highest mountain in the North Island and the most active in NZ. One of the most active in the World. Nearly 3000metres high (about 10000 feet)
Good stuff Tony, both sets....do you have any rugby shots? Some of us here in the states love to see 'em....

Funny you should ask.
I am a Rugby supporter, but more of an armchair spectator since we got Sky TV. And I've never taken my camera to a Rugby game. Weird.
If we attend almost any other sort of event or game, I have a camera with me, but it gets left in the car at Rugby games.
We do attend a lot of horse and rural events and I'm usually clicking away.
But I miss out on Rugby and Football.
The weird thing to me is that I have never noticed before but have to admit to not being too interested in 'sport' photography (unless it involves animals??)
Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I think. :?
Great shots and we here in the states I think love seeing other places where some of us will never go thanks for being a tour guide to your part of the world no matter what the subject. Welcome Aboard !!!
Thanks for posting. My grandfather was born in New Zealand. I'd love to visit.

Nice set of photos TonyP, Welcome to the UHH. I have a few Rugby photos from the last world cup, but will have to sift through a few to show. Cant wait to see more from you, Barry

Thanks for the kind words Sdaupanner.
Will go through some typically NZ pics for posting over the next few days. Have always been wary of posting on the web for some reason.
