Thanks for the kind words Sdaupanner.
Will go through some typically NZ pics for posting over the next few days. Have always been wary of posting on the web for some reason.

That last pic is a winner Barry. Quality looks fine to me but have to admit am a fan for getting in close, if you know what I mean.
I'm originally from Wellington and now retired in Tauranga (came via 29 years in Auckland).
Was a photographer back in the days of wet darkrooms and still do a few jobs, but pick and choose.

Ahoy Tony,

The first photo in this posting really captured my attention. I believe it is simply stunning. What a fine example of a thouroughbred! I'm also impressed with the action shot of the tractor at work.

Thank you for posting these fine photographs.

Cheers to the max!

Martin

Thanks Martin, she was an ex racehorse. Raced under the name Powerade. Never won a race, so when we bought her she was renamed Milo. Very pretty but could be a real bitch. The only one who could handle her was my wife but even then, when Milo heated up, like any racehorse she was very difficult to slow down. Or stop!
Rather photogenic though.
Thanks for your kind comments.

Don't know if anyone is interested in pics from 'Downunder' but I enjoy browsing the photos here, so thought I would take a deep breathe and jump in. Only pics I have 'saved for web' were for my website so they have been taken over a range of time.
Taken either with a Nikon D200 or D300s.
Lenses used all Nikkor, either an old 80-200 2.8, 50mm 1.8 or my more recent 70-300 4.5-5.6.
I enjoy animal, people and street photography and try to combine all three when I can.

Nice sets...I really enjoyed a glimpse of Down Under!

Those are great the Dog is Great never had one like that. Had a Shepard/Wolf and she had the same coat as the one you have but it had a massive head and copper eyes. and that settler cottage reminds me of a few fallen down cabins we have here in the hills,Logs for walls and dirt for the floor like I said any that you want to share I will be watching.

The horse picture is very striking. The dog looks happy - I love the lighting.
