Just quick update on the walk. I got confirming email that I did get in. I'm really looking forward to meeting other photographers and learning all I can from them. I know that I can go to Wakodahatchee anytime by myself its only 10 miles from my house. But to be able to meet others with similar interests and skills to me will be a great learning opportunity. I will let you all know how it went and hopefully posts some shots after the walk on Feb. 27th.

I've been a camera buff since my Viet Nam days, I have up graded to a Nikon D 90 3 years go and I m still learning new stuff. I am mostly self taught. I need more help thats why I just took out this course. Unless your a professor with tenure, there is always room for more learning.

It's been my experience that, once they have tenure, too many professors think they don't need to learn anymore. Not all of them, but enough that a lot of higher education students are getting a lot of obsolete crap.
any time spent with other shooters is generally well spent, a treasure trove of information, answers to specific or general questions and people are most happy to help.
Meetups vary widely. I did a dozen or so in New England and each was a little different, all enjoyable, great way to make friends and a hell of a great place to pick up gear when friends upgrade. and sell older gear
I couldn't of said thay any better myself. I'm 67 now .but there is still room for improvment
