I want to take slow shutter shots whilst doing donuts on the forklift. So you can see why I am not willing to do this shot using my 7D :)

You know we ALL want to see these pics (and any video too) of course.

CResQ,

On behalf of all of us at B&H Photo I'd like to thank you (and all of the other fine folks here on UHH) for your patronage and bringing your positive experience to our attention. I will send Yael a copy of your post of which I'm certain she will be most appreciative. It's always gratifying to know that the great lengths and expense we go to so as to deliver an informative, respectful and pleasant experience to our callers and customers does not go unnoticed. Yael is an exemplar of the many dedicated, capable, knowledgable and highly skilled B&H employees entrusted with handling customer issues via phone, email and chat services.

Thanks again for your thoughtfulness in writing this post.

All the best to you and yours.

Hello Hershel

Thank you for your response and kind words to my original post. Just another shining example of attentiveness that B&H and it's employees excel at. Once again, thank you.

I needed an item which would enable me to take a somewhat risky shot using my Rebel T3. If all went wrong it would be better to risk the T3 rather than my 7D. I tried to get it in Canada (locally and online) to no avail so decided to take a look at B&H. After not finding what I wanted I decided to enter an online chat session with a sales rep who could not find what I wanted either. I left the conversation resolved not to take my shot.

Anyway after the chat session was closed I was prompted to take a survey. I do not normally partake in these but the sales rep was as helpful as he could be and polite so I decided to go ahead and take it.

Today I received a follow up email from Mrs. Yael Lebovits, who works in the Office of the Director of Sales, which totally blew me away.

Not only did she apologize that I was not totally satisfied, she directed somebody from her department to see if there was an alternative to what I needed, and indeed there was.

I purchased the item from B&H and it will not be last time that I buy from them. When you receive a really good service, when a company goes beyond the norm, it makes a lasting impression (and great business sense).

Maybe B&H should market the way they do business because there sure is a lot of companies that appear not to give a damn!

Very impressed with B&H - if anyone from B&H is reading this - Thank you. You have gained another customer from me.

You don't say what it was that you were looking for. Now I'm curious.

Never mind. I went back and read your post where you explain what it was you needed. Sorry.

Sorry aerides, I totally missed your post! I posted this in response to photonphysicist asking the same question

The item that I needed was an extension cable for a wired shutter release for use with my T3. The Canon T3 doesn't have a infrared wireless remote port so I could not use the normal remote trigger similar to what I have for my 7D. What was suggested to me was a wireless receiver and trigger system, the receiver sits in the hotshoe on top of the camera so I ordered that right away from them.

I have a distribution company and the shot that I want to take involves securing the T3 on a tripod to the front end of one of my forklifts. I want to take slow shutter shots whilst doing donuts on the forklift. So you can see why I am not willing to do this shot using my 7D :)

I am currently not impressed with B&H. I recently placed several items in my cart at B&H and Adorama and compared prices. The total was almost 19 thousand dollars. Adorama beat their price so I called B&H and gave them an opertunity to win my business. They asked for the quote from Adorama, so I sent it to them. they responded with matching prices but made no attempt to beat their prices. I have been called and e-mailed several times by Adorama to see what they can do to win my buisness. I have not had any more contact from B&H. You would think for that kind of an order they would put forth a little more effort to get my buisness. I will say I have always had good service from them in the past. They should believe that I am serious about this order as I just bought a Canon 1D-X from them. Appearently I will be buying from Adorama this time around.

They are very good to deal with. I have bought just about all of my gear from them.....and always with total confidence that they place exemplary customary service at the top of their priority ladder. I always attempt to deal with concers like B&H and LensMaster.

From my experience, B&H stands for BEST and HONEST. My orders are always packed well and extremely fast shipping. I really appreciate their web site, easy to navigate, search options work great, product descriptions are accurate and I love the wish list.

I can't wait to get to New York and visit their showroom. Thank you B&H for the great service.

Wow! As the owner of a 7D, also, I can fully understand your desire to use the t3. I own a t1i for all the shots that don't need the "big guns".
Thanks for sharing!
