Which makes the animal lop sided -7 points on one side, six on the other!
I'm afraid it is mine and the photoshop job is pretty crude.
They have bent some of the antlers, filled in the body etc. The chances of someone else taking that shop with an identical horizon are spectacularly low!

I'm sorry but I don't think it is the same deer or picture, just my opinion. (to me it's a very similar pic but not close enough)

Of course you may be right.
I shall be letting the scientists know that the Sky photographer has snapped a genetic freak!
After comparing the two, I don't think they are the same. The position of the head is different, In your photo, the body is to camera right, in the Sky photo it looks like the the deer is facing the camera, or the body is slightly toward camera left.

I think Stephanie is correct. There are more tines on the news article than your posted photo.
I agree, looks like two different photos to me. 8-)
Totally different images. Check out the direction of the sun for example . . .
Concur with MissStephie. Looks very similar, but different racks and slightly different head/mouth positions. Could have been photoshopped, of course, but hardly seems worth the effort to do so.

Remarkable but not the same shot.
Ok everybody ..... I concede defeat (as gracefully as I can)!
And I shall deal appropriately with anyone who accuses me of paranoia.

A week or so ago I posted a couple of deer images - including this one.
This morning it appeared as a headline photo in a Sky News article entitled 'Deer cull urged by experts'.
It had been lightly photoshopped but is unmistakably mine.
Needless to say, no consents were sought or given.
Should I just be flattered . What would you do.
I appreciate I may have listed this in the wrong section. No doubt administration will move it if it is.
I had the same problem with my local paper. I had sent them a copy of a street scene for publication. Some months later it appeared in the paper. Upon my commenting to the Editor, the reply was that it was taken by the staff photographer. I never received any payment.

I have to agree, I think it's the same deer, but a different picture. The outer horns are different. Theirs sounds more of a back horn than the one here and same on the right, unless you think they photoshopped the horns in and curved one

Simon is right...it is the same deer...there is a distinguishing mark that the thief forgot to clone!

Wow they are really close to being the same, but I believe the sky photo is of a slightly more mature deer, with different body angle and the lower portion of both ears are different. I believe I would have had the same feelings as you did though.

I also think it is not the same deer. Few differences that make it an other animal. They probably all do the same kind of thing like this one, but the antlers are not exactly the same...

You all need to download them both and take a second look at them. Check out the white speck above the mud pattern...the odds that they would both be the same is highly improbable.
If it's your deer photo, it would have to have gone thru some heavy photoshop work. What I don't understand is why they would spend that kind of time photoshopping someone else's work when they could have used a stock photo of a deer without spending any time on it.
